Welcome to the update for February 2012 ...
Plant of the Month - Camellia. Camellias are magnificent flowering evergreens. They grow well against walls and in containers, and are fully hardy to frost-tender, minimum 7 - 10C (45 - 50F). They like a sheltered position and semi-shade.
If you choose to plant your Camellia in a container you will need to use lime-hating compost which is called Ericaceous. Camellias produce decorative flowers in early spring.
Summer-Flowering Bulbs are now in stock, come and see our large range of bulbs.
New to us this year are the Mixed Double Begonia, Gladiolus Far West, Lilium Double Asiatic Spring Pink, Zantedeschia Albomaculata (White Calla Lily), Dahlia Night Butterfly, Iris Germanica Sky Fire and Peonies Bowl of Beauty and Mme Emile Debatene.
Outside in the Plant Area we have a large selection of Roses, and now is the time to plant.
Spring-Flowering Bulbs are ready to plant, not forgetting the Tub and Basket Plants.
A large variety of Seed Potatoes, Onion and Shallot Sets, and Garlic Cloves are available now for planting.
