Welcome to the update for October 2011 ...
Plant of the month for October is conifers. They are hardy with long life expectancy, simple to maintain, they eed little staking, pruning, dead heading or leaf raking.
Available in a variety of sizes, colours and shapes. Evergreen, they create a stunning effect all year round.
To plant a conifer, dig a hole twice the size of the root ball, mix organic matter with the soil and replace around the roots. Keep well watered.
Now is also the the time to plant roses. Olivers has a large range of climbing and bush roses.
We also have home grown wallflowers now available.
Christmas gifts and decorations, seasonal food are in stock.
New season seeds are now in.
Don't forget to plant your spring flowering bulbs.
A reminder on some dates for your diary:
- Christmas trees will be available from December.
- Reindeer will be visiting on Sunday 4th December
- The Craft Fayre will take place on Saturday 10th December & Sunday 11th December
