Welcome to September 2010 ...

Plant of the month for September is Sedum. This has large vivid flowers and attracts butterflies in the autumn. It has fleshy blue green leaves. It does like full sun and well drained soil. It grows to 30 to 45cm (12 to 18 inches).

Alpines are tough low growing plants ideal for walls and use on alpine gardens. Most grow to about 5cm tall (2 inches). They like full sun and well drained soil.

Plants for autumn are now in stock and there are also tubs and baskets
