Welcome to October 2010 ...

The plant of the month is conifer.  It is also National conifer Week from 2nd October to 10th October 2010.  Conifers have evergreen foliage and provide year round colour in the garden.  Many conifers change colour throughout the year.

For containers try Juniperus Communis 'Compressa'

For rockeries or alpine troughs Juniperus Squamata 'Blue Star'

If you could like ground cover then Juniperus Horizontalis 'Prince of Wales'

For hedges Taxus Baccata or Thuja Plicata are suitable

Now is also a good time of year to display wonderful Garden Mums.

Outside we have refurbished all our plant display allowing us to stock more plants and present them in a way which helps you see them better.

As it is now autumn, you will find pumpkins in stock!
